Featured Artist: Kathryn Scott
The eldest of four children, Kathryn Scott was born in 1974 into a wonderful Christian family, where music played a key role. Her father, Roy, was the sound engineer; and her mother, Mildred, the soloist for a well-known evangelist in the UK during the '80s.
After growing up in Northern Ireland, Kathryn went on to study theology at Elim Bible College in England, where she earned an honors degree in Theology and Christian Ministry, and met and married Alan.
In 1996 they moved to Glasgow (where Alan is from) and became assistant pastors in a Vineyard church there. Two years later they both sensed the call of God back to Ireland to plant the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, which they still pastor to this day.
At the same time as they were planting the church, Kathryn had the privilege of being mentored by worship leader and songwriter Brian Doerksen. In '99 she wrote the title track for Vineyard's ground-breaking album 'Hungry', and sang many of the songs on that recording. No one at the time realized just how much that particular album would catch the imagination of the church at large. And for Kathryn, it was the beginning of becoming a trusted worship leader and songwriter way beyond her shores.
Kathryn has also recorded three solo albums with Integrity: 'Satisfy', produced by Brian Doerksen and Philip Janz; 'I Belong' and 'We Still Believe', both produced by Brent Milligan. She is delighted to launch her new independent EP, 'Sing on the Battlefield' - produced by Paul Burton, and featuring a duet with Paul Baloche on a brand-new version of 'We Still Believe' - on 9th September 2014.
