Rend Collective Suffers Set Back In New Album Preparation

May 11 2015

Northern-Ireland worship group Rend Collective have suffered a major set back in their preparations for the recording of their next album.

"Our recording studio (and Gareth and Ali's home) was broken into yesterday while they were out", confirmed the group. "Our laptop containing about a month's worth of recordings and work for the new record was taken. We share this to ask for prayer as we sit down to rework and record these songs. Please pray that God's presence would fall and he would provide the strength we need to finish up this album. Thank you for being family and church to us."

The popular folk-worship group went on to add on twitter, "Thank you all for the overwhelming support & prayers after our equipment was stolen. Don't worry no one is gonna stop this album coming out!"

Despite the set back, Rend Collective are keeping upbeat, with a packed summer festival itinerary lined up. "We have an incredible line up of festivals we'll be playing at this summer both in the UK and North America. In our own lives, summer festivals have played a massive role developing our faith, and sparking a passion in our hearts for worship music, the church, and for the world around us."

The group's latest studio album was 2014's 'The Art Of Celebration'. Rend Collective has just unveiled a new live music video for album title track 'Boldly I Approach (The Art of Celebration)', filmed on their US The Art of Celebration Tour last year. "Our hope was to capture the intensity and joy of those nights of worship and share a glimpse of what God did on that tour with the rest of the world", shared the band.

"This song was the title track of our last album because ultimately it's the main truth of our lives. Through the cross, we can hold onto hope, claim joy, and choose celebration. We have a reason to sing and celebrate because of what Jesus has done for us."
