The End of Quench

Jul 29 2009

Rock band Quench have come to an end. The four piece band started playing together at Spring Harvest in 2001 and recorded 3 Albums/EPs over the years, but have now sadly decided to finish. Frontman Jamie Hill explained, "We all love each other very much, we haven't had 'musical differences', no one has fallen from grace or lost the plot, we just feel that God has new things for us to invest in and the season of Quench is over."

Quench went on to say "All that is left to say is THANK YOU to all those who have believed in us over the years. Thanks to the managers and promoters - Affinity and Top Dog; thanks to the record company - Elevation; thanks to all the great friends we've made along the way, including the great bands we've been fortunate to meet and play alongside; EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to YOU, the QUENCH FANS who kept coming to our shows, listening to our music and wearing our T Shirts with pride - we appreciate you so much; and last but definitely not least, thanks to God for a great time and for the privilege of serving Him by playing the music we love. We know and trust that whatever God began through Quench, He will see through to completion."

The Band will play their last gig on Saturday 29th August at the Greenbelt Festival. They said "This gig is going to be a special one, with a specially selected 'greatest hits' set list and a lot of laughs and tears! You can be sure that we'll go out with a bang and we'd love it if you guys could be there with us to celebrate the life of Quench!"
