Dallas-Based Band Son Ship Releasing Debut Album '12'

Oct 31 2017

'12', the debut album from Dallas-based Christian band Son Ship takes a bold and fresh step for Christian music. In reaction to their own personal struggles and a culture plagued by pornography, alcoholism, drug use, and depression, the young band has set out to use it's authentic brand of pop/rock to chronicle what healing in Christ looks like.

Each of the 12 songs on the album reflects one of the steps from the popular 12 steps of recovery, chronicling what it means to let Christ come in and heal the most broken places in our hearts. This album is more than a musical trend, it is a reaction to a cultural dilemma and beautifully illustrates the intersection a broken life colliding with the power of Jesus.

Son Ship is a group of five brothers in Christ who want to challenge a culture of Christians that tend to hide behind the surface. Vulnerability, passion, and surrender describe what you will witness as you see these unconventional young believers perform. Though you'll hear influences ranging from Alt Rock, to Jazz, to Contemporary Worship within their catchy sound, their vision to shine light in the darkest places remains strong throughout.
