Louder Than The Music

Singer, songwriter and indie producer David Joseph is releasing his new album next month, featuring his current single 'Starlight'. Although the Canadian artist's primary instrument is guitar, his unorthodox use of traditional and digital sounds in his mixes, help describe the Eastern journey his life has taken.

With a range of sound that uplifts the soul through the musical fusion of Eastern and Western melodies, although the dominant instruments are rhythmically Western (acoustic guitar, drums, bass, piano, strings), 'STARLiGHT' features the Chinese erhu, guzheng, and zither throughout. Many of the electronic sounds achieved on the album utilize pads and synths riding Eastern pentatonic scales.
