Andrew Osenga Releases New Album 'The Painted Desert'

Oct 19 2018

Singer/Songwriter Andrew Osenga, who has written songs for artists such as Chris Tomlin, Andrew Peterson and Jason Gray and is Director of A&R at Integrity Music, has released his new album 'The Painted Desert'.

Described as "songs of beauty and hope out of a season of fear and doubt", Andrew says it is the "favorite record I've ever made", adding "It's an emotional record from a season I'm thankful for and mostly thankful to be out of".

Andrew started his career in the bands The Normals and Caedmon's Call before moving on to make a number of solo projects. "I thought I was done making records", he admits. "I felt I had said all I'd ever have to say. Then life happened. The past few years have felt like wandering in the desert, in a myriad of ways. I had to face some hard truths about myself and ask some hard questions, about who I am, what I believe, and what I'm called to do. These questions led to my podcast, The Pivot, which has been a real joy to produce. It also led to this new project, 'The Painted Desert'.

'The Painted Desert' is, I pray, the album version of conversation with a friend where you have the freedom to be real with doubt, fear and hope. I wanted this record to be beautiful. I wanted it to have space for listeners to think, feel, and remember. This is absolutely my favorite thing I've ever done and I'm so very excited for you to hear it."
