Evan Egerer Releases 'Mystery' EP

Nov 22 2018

Singer/songwriter Evan Egerer from Tri Cities, Washington, has just released his new EP 'Mystery'. With rock, pop, and soul influences, this EP takes cues from artist ranging from For King and Country to Needtobreathe, and was recorded in Nashville with Christian producer Jeff Quimby (Big Daddy Weave, Kari Jobe, Lincoln Brewster), as well as artists Jeremy Redmon (Big Daddy Weave) and Matt Melton (Chris Tomlin).

Evan’s childhood and teen years were set in foreign countries with piano lessons and guitar as his sanctuary. It was his Father’s 1967 Martin guitar that enforced this bend for music through the years, and it’s the same guitar Evan plays on stage today. His performances with just a guitar and loop pedal have earned him national recognition, including the top spot at Creation Northwest’s National Music Tournament in 2016.

Having taken the stage with renowned bands like Dorothy, Crowder, and Phil Wickham, Evan’s percussive guitar style and gritty vocal power have been described as “top-notch” among northwest music critics.

It wasn’t until a few years before wining the Creation Northwest tournament, however, that Evan discovered his love of singing. He showed a song he’d written to his worship director at his church, and was lovingly pushed into performing in front of the large congregation. From there, his songwriting began to evolve into who he is an artist: he emerges from a lifetime of listening to music with emotion and force, the two major influences on his sound today. Earthy and energetic, Evan’s influences range from Joe Cocker to Pearl Jam, and takes cues from NEEDTOBREATHE and Bruce Springsteen.
