Sara Groves Reveals Brand-New Single, 'Jesus, See The Traveler' Featuring Poignant Collaboration with Daughter

Feb 10 2019

Singer/songwriter Sara Groves unveiled "Jesus, See The Traveler," available today. A poignant collaboration with Groves' daughter, Ruby, Groves received inspiration for the song while traveling overseas, listening to recounted stories of refugees fleeing war and oppression in various parts of the world.

"I wanted a way for Ruby and I to remember the number of people who are on the road, displaced and wandering on any given night," said Groves. "Due to war and violence, there are more displaced people right now than any other time in history, and I want to be in the number who are responding in love - both in person in my community, and in my music."

The new single comes on the heels of Groves' latest critically acclaimed release, Abide With Me. Called "breathtaking" (Louder Than The Music) and "good medicine for these troubled times" (Jesus Freak Hideout), the 11-track album is a moving collection of hymns carefully selected from Groves' personal list, with each song having provided a source of healing and comfort to the singer/songwriter throughout the years.
