Rose Zulu Releases 'Ndinthawi Yanu (It's Your Time)'
Ifale Records in collaboration with Malawi Direct presents Rose Zulu's premier full length Christian World music album, Ndinthawi Yanu (It's Your Time).
Produced by artist Humble Mtambo of Monkey Bay, Malawi, Ndinthawi Yanu sees Rose Zulu take traditional Christian music themes and overlay it with afro-beat and reggae influences.
Growing up in the small African nation of Malawi Rose began singing after losing her parents in an attempt to keep her family out of extreme poverty. Now with kids of her own she continues to sing to contribute to the welfare of foster kids in her community. She sees music as a means to empower young women in her country. She hopes to build an audience and to perform on stages across Africa as well as internationally.
This album is being distributed by Malawi Direct, a small unregistered NGO based in Canada. Malawi Direct is mandated to feed all profits back to Malawian artists as well as to employ and promote Malawian people. 100% of profits from album sales will be sent directly to artist Rose Zulu and to her producer Humble Mtambo.
