South Africa's Fyvie Releases 'Late Nights In Heaven'

Dec 06 2019

FYVIE, the musical alias of Howard James Fyvie, who is a Cape Town, South Africa, based artist, has released his new album 'Late Nights in Heaven' on all streaming platforms.

By day Howard writes and directs films and videos. By night he records and produces fresh music. "In January 2019 my wife Christine told me to 'get over myself' and actually write some of the songs down that I had been humming to her for the past year. 10 months later, 'Late Nights in Heaven' is the result", he explains.

"The nerves are over. The fear has been slain. The procrastination has been muted. The result: 12 songs written over the last year that you get to stream right now and embark on a musical journey of stratospheric proportions", he continues.

"This is my very first self-produced meditative synth-wave cyber-punk Holy Spirit-filled attempt at a music album. I’ve tried to write about some unique aspects to life and God and what it means to follow Jesus yet fail and be forgiven etc. Some of the songs are about things like 'the fear of God'. Others are about the moments in my life when I doubt who I am and who God is. Some are about how a lot of modern-day culture lies to us. Others are about the goodness of Jesus through it all. But mainly I’ve tried to be honest and truthful. One is about getting to heaven and spending late nights with God."
