Nichole Nordeman Releases First Christmas Album 'Fragile'

Dec 10 2019

Nine-time Dove Award winner Nichole Nordeman has released her first ever Christmas album 'Fragile'. The album explores the deeply tender moments of that first Christmas, asking us to quietly examine our approach to the love and vulnerability that a baby in a manger longs to show us. 'Fragile' features three original songs, including her previously released single 'Maybe'. Produced by Michael Gungor, it is sure to become a Christmas treasure for years to come.

"These songs spoke to me", explains Nichole. "The carols centuries old or the ones from my own pen, about the tenderness of the Christ child. Of all the ways God wanted to be with us, it was the most vulnerable way, imaginable. A helpless baby. A light in the dark. A longing we couldn't even name. I hope these songs remind you of how small the love of God can become, to slip into the cracks of our otherwise loud and anxious, angry world. Into the cracks of our hearts, too. If I may be so bold as to ask you (as I ask people everywhere I go) to remember to purchase an artist's work if you find it meaningful. We've worked really hard on this, and it would mean so much if you felt it was deserving to be appreciated in that way."

A two-time Gospel Music Association winner for Female Vocalist of the Year, Nichole has won a total of nine Dove Awards, including one recently as the lyricist on the best-selling album, 'Music Inspired by The Story'. She lives with her family in Tulsa, OK.
