Carissa was born and raised in Mid-Missouri (Fulton, MO) and resides in Nashville, TN. "My parents raised me as a strong and independent woman. I am forever grateful to my two biggest fans, who were hands down my favorite humans on the planet. When I lost them, dad, to cancer and my mother mentally to early dementia. I questioned life and faith. God took me by the hand and hasn't let go."

Carissa has written over 40 original songs, cut two albums and an EP. Her first album is titled "Easier Said Than Done.†Her second album is titled "Karma" and her EP is titled "Crazy Bout' You Baby."
