Louder Than The Music

British singer/songwriter Joe Hardy will release his new single 'Waiting' on the 8th May. The song was written and recorded during lock down at his house and sums up the feelings of saying goodbye to family members and friends.

"Waiting came about after the announcement of lock down in our nation, we had already gone through upset at the first announcement of vulnerable people having to go into isolation for 12 weeks but this became very real very quick", explains Joe.

"At that point our new baby was less than 2 months old and we were having to explain to our 2 year old that we wouldn't be able to see his grandparents for a very long time. The moment was tearing us apart, the deep sadness of not being able to see our family but also the reality that for the next little while we were going to be looking after two small children without any help from family and friends just within the confines of our home.

Waiting is a heart cry of knowing this isn’t going to be this way forever, but stuck in the messy middle is a painful place to be. I’m really hoping it helps put language to some of what we are all feeling at this time."
