Merry Christmas

Dec 24 2009

Firstly can I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I do love Christmas sitting around the fire with loved ones, eating mince pies in front of the Christmas tree. All families have things they do every year in the build up to Christmas and one of mine, my Dad's and my brother's is to watch Die Hard on Christmas Eve. Yes maybe not the most traditional of rituals to do over the festive period, but it's been a long running one in my family. Since being married I have also realised my in-laws have a few weird habits at Christmas too. It's the only time of the year I see my mother in-law have a glass of wine, but the most random one is at 6am every Christmas morning Hannah (my wife) will wake up and sing as loud as she can "Wake Up, Wake Up, it's Christmas Morning", the Graham Kendrick classic from his 90's album 'Rumours of Angels'.

Louder Than The Music would like to wish you all a great day, but please remember the real reason of Christmas. That's right, Santa... only kidding! It's the birth of Jesus. The reason we can all be saved.

So 2009 has been a wonderful year for Christian music, if anything I've learnt of some amazing new bands and artist and have enjoyed hearing some interesting new sounds. I hope 2010 will be just as interesting and exciting.

Louder Than The Music has come a long way since its birth in March and it has been an honour to be doing this site. 2010 should be even more exciting with some big new features coming along soon. Please come along for the journey, and as the amazing Carpenters once sung "It's only just begun".
