The Hedgerow Folk Release New EP 'Worth It All'
The Hedgerow Folk are back with their third studio project, an EP titled 'Worth It All'. Made up of Jon Myles, Bryant Hains and Amanda Hammett this indie-worship trio has been described as having an “ambient bluegrass†sound and often pen reflective and meditative lyrics with the intent of drawing the listener deeper into the presence of God.
Their new five song EP features recent singles 'Never a Day' and 'Reflection' alongside what might be the band’s favorite song to date, 'Hard Road'. Stretching into new territory with a more upbeat tempo, but not shying away from depth of lyric, the coexisting of lament and joy found in this song mirrors the opposing emotions often present in our lives as followers of Jesus.
Too often ease is the measure we use to determine if God is present and at work in our lives and we believe the subtle lie that if circumstances are hard, God must not be in them.
This song reminds us that the "hard road" isn't to be avoided. But instead, even our suffering can be worth it all when we encounter the nearness of God.
This same theme is woven throughout all of the tracks on 'Worth It All', and the prayer of The Hedgerow Folk is that listeners will find peace in believing that God doesn’t tolerate us, He actually delights in us. And He created us to delight in Him, regardless of our feelings or circumstances.
