As frontman for the popular metalcore band, Memphis May Fire, Matty Mullins is no stranger to the industry. With the success of his band, Mullins has been able to share faith-based positivity with large secular crowds all over the world. A calling to make an album of declaring his faith, led to the creation of his successful CCM self-titled solo debut in 2014.

Now onto his second solo album titled 'Unstoppable. Matty Mullins is back. My general thoughts about the album are that this bunch of songs all have stories and messages that are so prominent that you can't help but take notice. These are not throw away songs with 'nice poetic lyrics' for the sake of it. Each of these songs has a meaning behind them.

That is apparent all the way through the album. The track 'I Choose You' is about choosing what God is telling us about ourselves rather than the lies of the devil and what the world wants us to believe. Opening track 'Say It All' is a song about our actions showing who we are in Christ. Matty sings "We speak louder when we show grace, with our lives we change the world without word". Powerful and important truths to remember.

Don't panic I'm not going to give away the meaning of every song, I'll leave that for you to work out once you buy the album. #NoSpoilers.

In general the album is very positive and upbeat In tempo. The title track 'Unstoppable' is a song to play while on the beach in the summer as the sun beats down - if you're American, or while you are having a BBQ in the sun on the beach if you are Australian, or if you're British - while you are sitting in a deck chair eating an ice cream while it rains. British Summers eh!

Enough about geography and back to the music. The track 'Brand New Fire' is a very poppy radio friendly track. Matty has a very sweet vocal, what I mean by that is that he has a voice that really fits with these tracks. His voice is refreshing to listen too. Yet at the same time he can belt out a bit of an edgier side if he needs to. I think his metal core background is at times trying to get out, this happens during the songs 'The Great Unknown' and 'You Can'.

Overall a solid pop album from Matty that's got some strong songs ready for the summer season.
