South African multi-award-winning artist
Kingdmusic has released his highly anticipated fifth studio album,
JOY, available now on all streaming platforms. Inspired by Nehemiah 8:10, "the joy of the Lord is your strength," the album is a heartfelt expression of faith, resilience, and the choice to live with joy through every season of life.
JOY reflects Kingdmusic's personal journey and growth, blending contemporary Christian pop, R&B, gospel, and worship. The album is both uplifting and reflective, offering music that connects with everyday faith while remaining accessible to a global audience.
"Life can be tough, but this album is a reminder that God is present in the middle of it all. The project features a strong mix of international and local collaborators, including Brazilian worship leader Luma Elpidio, ONE HOUSE alongside Isaiah Roberts from the USA, and rising South African artist Megan Rose. These collaborations bring depth and diversity to the album's sound, reinforcing its message of hope, unity, and shared faith.

JOY invites listeners into moments of praise, gratitude, and intimacy with God. The album balances bold declarations of faith with quieter, reflective moments, making it suitable for both personal listening and communal worship.
One of the most moving tracks on the album,
Jerusalem, is a reimagining of a classic South African hymn that reflects on life, death, and the promise of eternity with Christ in the New Jerusalem. Kingdmusic was inspired to write the song while attending the funeral of a close friend's father, giving the track a deeply personal and emotional foundation.
The album is accompanied by strong visual content, with four music videos already available and two more, for
Hallelujah and
Always On Time, set to release shortly after the album launch. Kingdmusic is also set to go on tour for
JOY album starting in Johannesburg on the 7th of March.
