“It’s a play on words, but it’s also my story,” Micah Christopher says. “I was trying to survive on things that were never meant to heal me. He did what I couldn’t do for myself... If Jesus hadn’t stepped into my story, I’d still be chasing things that can’t hold me up or truly satisfy me.”
The song echoes Christopher’s heart in reminding people that nothing this world offers can completely fulfill. Like the woman who ran back to her town after encountering Jesus, Micah Christopher hopes his music points people toward the Living Water that never runs dry.
“I hope it gives people language for something they already feel,” Christopher adds. “Most of us know what it’s like to keep going back to the same well, which are the same habits or distractions, and we hope this time it will be different. This song reminds me of where life actually comes from."
