Louder Than The Music

The new album from the Passion movement, 'Passion: Awakening' has experienced the biggest opening week of sales for a Passion recording to date, selling over 25,000 units and taking the Number 1 spot on the Christian Albums chart, Number 15 on Billboards Top 200 and Number 8 on Billboard's Current Digital Albums Chart. The latest single from the album 'Our God', sung by worship leader Chris Tomlin, is also currently climbing its way up both the radio charts.

'Passion: Awakening' was released in the USA on 9th March, but UK fans will have to wait until 17th May for the British release (pre-order here). The album was recorded live at the Passion 2010 event in Atlanta during January in front of more than 22,000 university-aged young people. It features popular worship artists Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, Fee and Hillsong United.

Currently, Passion is preparing to set out on it's second World Tour beginning in May, with university gatherings planned in Kiev, London, Tokyo, Manila, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo and Vancouver. Registration also recently opened for Passion 2011, which will take place from 1st to 4th January in Atlanta.
