Louder Than The Music

KXC Worship is set to release 'Prince of Peace', an uplifting worship anthem born out of a desire to bring comfort, hope and faith to those living through conflict, fear and suffering.

Written a few days after the outbreak of the current US-Iran conflict, the song was created as a prayer for those affected by conflict and those living in fear for their lives. Drawing inspiration from Isaiah 9:6–7, Prince of Peace points listeners towards the comfort and assurance found in Jesus, whose government rests on His shoulders and whose reign brings hope in the midst of uncertainty.

The song emerged from a joint songwriting camp between Integrity Music and Wings, bringing together writers from across the UK worship movement. This song was written together by KXC’s Rich di Castiglione, Gas Street Music’s Zo Ross-Waddell and New Wine Worship leader, Joe Hardy. The recording features powerful vocals from Zo Ross-Waddell alongside KXC worship leader Imi Agboaye.

With its uplifting sound and congregational focus, Prince of Peace is designed to be sung in churches, inviting communities of faith to lift their eyes towards Jesus and declare His peace over a world in need of healing and reconciliation.

The lyrics move between a declaration of God's sovereignty and a heartfelt cry for His intervention: “You help us stand when the ground starts shaking, Your outstretched hand is strong to save…”

The song builds into a prayer for those affected by conflict, calling on God to bring healing, comfort and reconciliation: “We plead the Blood of Christ over the battle lines, come heal and reconcile, we need your peace God”.

At its heart, Prince of Peace is a reminder that Jesus is not distant from human suffering. He is the King of Kings, the everlasting Father and the One who carries every burden on His shoulders.

The song closes with the cry, “Maranatha, Come Lord Come,” echoing the ancient longing of the Church for the return of Christ and the fullness of His peace.
