Feyisayo Anjorin Releases Music Video For 'Blessed With the Best'
The song “Blessed With The Best” was written on a Sunday. The songwriter, Feyisayo Anjorin, had - on a certain Sunday - logged on to the Facebook Live of his church to join an online service when he heard his Pastor using him as an example of someone blinded by passion to follow the artistic way rather than “get a job that actually pays the bills”.
He starts the song with, “Not known for my silver or gold just like brother Peter of old..”. A part of the video also paid homage to the biblical Peter’s “Silver or gold I do not have…” statement.
The song highlights the fact that “Blessings” are beyond affluence and fat bank accounts, and that access to God’s word is the blessing. Feyisayo, is a writer and an author of five works of fiction. He is also known for the films, “I Want Out” and “What Happened At St James”. Hence he sings, “…he has given me his word and a pen mightier than the swords of men..”
His writings have appeared in Bella Naija, Brittle Paper, African Writer, Bakwa Magazine, Litro, Kalahari Review, and Agbowo. The song was Produced by “Dacoustic”, while the Music Video was Directed by Oba Kabiesi Ademola.
Blessed With The Best is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, Boomplay and other streaming platforms.
