Worship Leader & Songwriter Carisa Turner Releasing 'Be Still and Know (Psalm 46)'
Carisa Turner, a worship leader, songwriter, and speaker based in Atlanta, GA. is releasing her new song called 'Be Still and Know (Psalm 46)' on October 22.
"As a worship leader and songwriter, I have always known that the Psalms are the songbook of the church", she explains. "But it wasn't until I began spending focused time singing them regularly year over year back in the pandemic that I began to understand the depth of what they offer us. The song features grand piano, a live string trio, and even some atmospheric thunder, as it invites listeners to remember God's unshakeable sovereignty amidst the chaos of life.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of serving as a worship leader in several churches, both on staff and in lay leadership. I have led worship for women’s retreats, conferences, and gatherings of all shapes and sizes and consider myself a worship pastor at heart, wherever I go in this world.
It’s also been a joy to write and record my own collection of songs and share both my music and stories behind it with others through house concerts, coffee shop tours, special events, and other songwriting showcases. My favorite collection of songs comes from my “Come Down” EP and I am honored that one of my songs won a national award through the Christian Women in Media Association."
