KXC Worship To Release 'No One Like You' From Seek First Sessions

Mar 08 2024

KXC Worship are set to release ‘No One Like You’ on 8th March. ‘No One Like You’ is the kind of worship song that you feel like you know the first time you hear it.

It’s a disarmingly simple and congregational song that invites us to focus all our attention and affection on Jesus. The first verse tells the Gospel story of Jesus’ death and resurrection with the chorus responding simply: ‘Jesus, there is no one like you’.

The song was written by KXC’s worship pastor (Rich Dicas) together with two Vineyard worship pastors - Anabeth Morgan (Colorado, US) and Jon Solway (Birmingham, UK). Jon brought the simple refrain for the chorus and then we tried to write verses where every line was singularly about the unique person of Jesus.

The recording features powerful vocals from Bekah Sarah - one of their worship leaders who also serves to coordinate our all Sunday service volunteers. Bekah carries a deep love for Jesus and is a servant leader on and off the stage. The single also features two bonus tracks that were captured on the recording night - the first a medley and the second a spontaneous song, ‘Show Us Your Glory’.

"We recorded this song live at our weekly worship and prayer night - Seek First. Every Monday, loads of young people gather to cry out to God and pray for our local area and beyond. The unity, passion and presence of God in the room is profound and often overwhelming. We were able to capture something of that with a live recording using all of our in-house production team. This is the final single from a forthcoming album that was all recorded at Seek First."

KXC Worship is based at King’s Cross Church (KXC), a thriving church in the heart of London. The vision of KXC is to serve God’s purpose to make all things new, by recklessly giving ourselves away to God in worship, each other in community and the people of King’s Cross and beyond.

"On 12th April we’re going to be releasing ‘Seek First Sessions’ a new album of live worship recorded at our weekly worship and prayer nights. The album features 12 tracks including ‘O God Would You Move’, ‘Moth to a Flame’ and loads of spontaneous moments. It’s the sound of a church community coming alive in worship and discovering more of what it means to contend in prayer."
