KXC To Release 'Don't Pass Me By' - A Cry of Faith in the Midst of Suffering

Jul 04 2025

KXC is excited to announce the release of its latest studio single, 'Don't Pass Me By,' a deeply moving and spiritually resonant worship song written by worship pastors Rich & Lydia Dicas. Raw, vulnerable, and profoundly honest, this song is more than just a new track - it's a declaration of faith forged through fire.

Born from Lydia Dicas’s personal journey with chronic pain and years of unanswered prayer, “Don’t Pass Me By” stands as a modern-day lament and confession, echoing the heart cry of the blind man in Scripture who dared to shout for Jesus’ attention despite the crowds urging him to stay silent. It’s a song for the weary, the waiting, and those who, in the silence of unanswered questions, still choose to believe.

“This song comes from the deepest parts of our story,” shares Lydia. “It’s a prayer we've prayed again and again - Jesus, don’t pass us by. Even when healing hasn’t come, we’ve held on to the hope that His presence never leaves us.”

Musically intimate yet theologically rich, “Don’t Pass Me By” carries the listener into one of the sacred tensions of the Christian life - where persistent faith and redemptive suffering meet. One hand reaches boldly for breakthrough; the other holds tightly to the God who meets us in the mystery. It’s a worship song for those who refuse to let go, even when the road is long and the answers slow in coming.

This release follows on the heels of KXC’s recent anthem “Do It Again Lord”, continuing the church’s legacy of crafting worship that arises from the heartbeat of real-life community, grounded theology, and honest encounters with God in both joy and pain. As with so many of KXC’s songs, “Don’t Pass Me By” is not simply written for the church - it is written from the church, born out of lived experience, intercession, and deep community prayer.

With its tender vulnerability and courageous faith, “Don’t Pass Me By” is an invitation to worship - not despite our struggles, but through them. It calls the church to lift up the kind of prayer that heaven cannot ignore: persistent, aching, and full of hope.

KXC Worship is based at King’s Cross Church (KXC) - a thriving Anglican church in central London. Since 2014 we’ve been writing worship songs both for our congregation and the wider church. Our recent songs ‘Hallelujah Jesus Saves’ and ‘O God Would You Move’’ are being sung in churches across the UK and beyond. In 2024 we also released ‘Show Us Your Glory’ - an album filled with anthems and spontaneous moments as well as ‘Never Sing Alone’ - a collaborative EP written and recorded together with Gas Street Music and Manor Collective.
