Alex Henry Foster Shares 'A Vessel Astray' Video

Jun 09 2024

On April 26, Alex Henry Foster and Momoka Tobari released their highly anticipated LP, Kimiyo, to much acclaim. Foster’s unique blend of introspective lyricism and captivating melodies has quickly secured top positions for Kimiyo on multiple US and Canadian Billboard charts, including the #1 spot on the Canadian Alternative Albums chart and secured the #2 spots on Canadian Top Current Albums, Top Canadian Album Sales and #12 spots on Billboard Canadian Albums charts. Foster rounds out this impressive list with a #1 spot on the Canadian Digital Albums chart.

It doesn’t stop there - Kimiyo is making waves across US charts, too, landing at #4 on the Alternative New Artists Albums chart and #10 on the Top New Artist Albums chart.

Today, Alex Henry Foster is sharing the video for Kimiyo's track "A Vessel Astray". Inspired by the spiritual notion of soul cleansing that is proper to the Japanese culture, the song is built around the sentiment of acceptance, defined by honesty and admission, where an acknowledgment of the past is enfranchised by the nature of the now. The lyrical essence is comprised of several fragments of self-designed deceptions and aborted blessings colliding with a renewed perspective on personal dreams and inner-purpose rebirth… It offers the emotional clarity necessary to unfold every possible path ahead, to redefine one’s life trajectory beyond the frontiers we have raised within our hearts and souls.

The song’s official music video is an excerpt from the movie “Voyage à la Mer”, a motion picture produced by Alex Henry Foster, which will premiere this upcoming fall. In addition to “Voyage à la Mer” and Kimiyo, Foster has crafted two more creative entities; the album A Measure of Shape and Sounds and the in-public conversations & live musical improvisation affair Of Flashes and Other Currents, are due to be released over the span of 2024.
