Planetshakers Releases 'Winning Team' Live Album; 13 Songs/Videos Inspire a Response to the Victory Found in Jesus
Internationally recognized praise and worship band Planetshakers releases Winning Team globally (July 19) from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets, the album will also be released as a CD by New Day Distribution and as an Apple Music Exclusive Deluxe Edition that contains Music Videos for all 13 songs on the recording.
Produced by Joth Hunt and recorded live by the full Planetshakers band along with the voices of thousands attending the Planetshakers Conference 2024 in the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Winning Team is Planetshakers’ response to the victory found in Jesus.
“The album is an expression of the overwhelming victory our church has experienced over the last year,” shares Pastor Sam Evans. “It really was the most incredible year where we saw God do the impossible in so many people's lives and in their situations. I hope people can sense the joy that we're experiencing and expressing when we're singing these songs. We want them to have the same revelation, same understanding that we are victors in Jesus, then experience the joy of these songs as we’re singing them.”
“Just imagine you're at a sporting event and your team has just won the championship and everyone's just celebrating. It has that kind of feel to it,” says Hunt of the album’s title track written by Andy Harrison and Josh Ham. “It's even got a key change, marching snares and brass in it, capturing a great celebration of praise for what Jesus has done and the victory He's won for us on the cross. As Christians, we're on the winning team.
“I feel like a lot of churches don't sing praise songs anymore,” adds Hunt. “They just sing worship songs. And to me that's really sad because praise songs carry something different than what worship carries. The spirit of praise is so powerful. It can break an atmosphere open in and into freedom. And a spirit of praise transcends a musical style.”

In addition to the title track, Planetshakers’ Winning Team includes “Wash Over Me,” a reminder to turn your eyes to Jesus, as well as the upbeat praise song “Delight,” the joyful, high energy “Praise On It” and the worshipful, anthemic “You Have My Heart” that were released earlier this year.
