Wisconsin-based artist Howard Gripp, who transitioned from a rock 'n' roll background to fully embrace the Christian Contemporary/Rock genre, returns with his latest single, 'Love Rewrote My Story', releasing on Friday June 27.
'Love Rewrote My Story' is a moving testimony of redemption and transformation through God’s grace. The lyrics recount a life once consumed by self-destruction and regret, only to be renewed by God’s unwavering love and forgiveness.
With vivid imagery of being "pulled from the ashes" and scars that now symbolize redemption, the song celebrates the profound impact of grace in rewriting a broken past. The heartfelt chorus highlights the freedom found in Christ, who breaks the chains of failure and shame. This track serves as a powerful reminder that no matter how far we’ve fallen, God’s love can redeem, restore, and rewrite our story.
This new song will feature on Howard's new EP, scheduled for release in late October, which will be the follow up to his 2024 debut EP, 'Rescued Redeemed Forgiven' recorded in Nashville. That EP quickly gained momentum, surpassing 210,000 streams on Spotify and earning multiple national awards, including Best Christian Album of the Year and Best Christian Song of the Year at the 2025 Rampage Music Awards. His official music video for Hello It's Me was honored with Music Video of the Year at X-Poze-Ing, Magic Silver Screen Films, and the Couch Film Festival.
