“I Want to be more like Jesus, I want to be more like Him.” Jesus lived out the perfect example for us, in a fallen world to show us who we truly are, created in His image. He gave us His Word! He gives us His grace & gives us His love, gentleness, kindness as a father & mother would naturally give to their child while teaching their child how to walk, & speak etc.! God cares deeply for all mankind, much more than we could ever care for Him! Men, women, boys and girls are created in the image of Jesus, which explains why we physically look the way we look.
Romans 5 tells us that the result of Jesus' finished work on the cross and it's after effects are far greater & cannot even be compared to the results of Adam's sin along with it's after effects that came upon the earth! This is good news! God's plan for us is to look More & More like Jesus by how we act, while He's already made a great provision for our forgiveness of sin for all eternity. We are born into sin, in a fallen world, just as Jesus, but Jesus was born into the world by the Holy Spirit yet without sin as the perfect sacrifice for our sin.
The results which came from Adam's sin trickled down to us! God conquered the results of sin for us! We have an opportunity to be more & more like Jesus everyday, while angels not only long to look into this as the scripture says, but fallen angels are angry over this as God offers us exactly what the devil wanted which was to "be like the Most High!" Let's relish & take advantage of this privilege we have in this wonderful opportunity to grow in Christ, becoming More & More like Jesus each & every day!
