Louder Than The Music

'Unapologetically' is the new single from St Anju, produced by DJ Shunz and KD Summerz. This song is an encouragement to all God's people, as INDIVIDUALS, to continue being who God called them to be, without apology.

I was inspired by God to write this song as I was pondering on the stigma of Christians singing Gospel in the form of the genre of Reggae Dancehall. The debate over this is endless but my conclusion is that Reggae, Dancehall, Drill, Drum & Bass, Rap, Hip Hop R&B, Afrobeat, Soul etc is all God's music - God is the giver of talents, giftings and abilities according to Romans 12:6-8, James 1:17.

I cannot help being a lover of Reggae Dancehall, I was born that way, I grew up that way, and it's just who I am because God made me that way and he has commissioned me to do Gospel Reggae Dancehall for his glory.

In the book of Jeremiah 1:7-8 (KJV) God commanded Jeremiah to go wherever he told him to go, and to speak to whoever he told him to speak to and said to him: "DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THEIR FACES, FOR I AM WITH YOU TO DELIVER YOU". In other words, God told Jeremiah not to worry about the negative things some people may think or say about him out of ignorance, as Jeremiah was very young at the time when God called him but God gave him the blessed assurance of being with him to deliver him.

Therefore, I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY being myself representing Jesus Christ.”
