16 Year-Old Singer Xander Zane Releases 'Cloud 9'

May 20 2026

Xander Zane, a 16-year-old Christian singer/songwriter from Prescott, Ontario, Canada, has released his new single, 'Cloud 9', available now on all streaming platforms.

When he's not writing songs or singing his heart out at church you can find him performing lead roles in his high school's Musical Theatre performances, crushing chemistry tests, or flipping his scan gun with style at the cash of our local grocery store.

On release day, May 8, 2026, Xander was given the opportunity to perform his single on stage in front of hundreds of students at St. Mary's Catholic High Schools' Relay for Life for cancer research, and his song is already gaining traction on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, etc with 1000s of streams within the first 5 days of being launched. He is actively building his social media presence through shorts and reels, with over 34k views over the past week and a half.

"The story behind why I wrote Cloud 9 actually has to deal with a text from my mom saying I should write a lo-fi, Christian, feel good song. So I quickly started to piece together some lyrics about how music has affected my life and how it makes me feel. And after a lunch break and a bit of chemistry class Cloud 9 was created. It's a testament to how music can change how we view the world and how we act. And of course it is a love letter to God's work in my life because He is the reason I have the opportunity to write music in the first place. In a world plagued by anxiety and depression sometimes you just need a pick-me-up and Cloud 9 is just that!"
