May 24 2026

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and Season 14 American Idol runner-up Clark Beckham has released his moving new acoustic worship single "Great Are You Lord," with the official music video dropping Friday morning.

On "Great Are You Lord," Beckham delivers a soulful, piano-driven interpretation of the beloved modern worship anthem, reimagining the song through a gospel and soul lens. Stripped down to an intimate acoustic piano arrangement, the track allows the emotional depth of the lyric and Beckham's unmistakable vocal delivery to take center stage. Blending the reverence of contemporary worship with the warmth and spontaneity of classic gospel phrasing, Beckham offers a fresh yet deeply respectful take on the worship favorite.

Originally written by David Leonard, Jason Ingram, and Leslie Jordan, and first performed by All Sons & Daughters, "Great Are You Lord" has become one of the most widely sung worship songs in churches worldwide. Beckham's rendition honors the original's timeless message while introducing listeners to a heartfelt sound that highlights both the melody's simplicity and the depth of its declaration of faith.

A behind-the-scenes making-of video for the melody has gone viral overnight, amassing 183,000 views in just one day since being uploaded to Instagram. In it, Clark reimagines the classic melody in his own way, guided by his inner voice.

A Nashville-area native, Beckham first captivated audiences nationwide during his breakout run as runner-up on Season 14 of American Idol in 2015. Known for his dynamic stage presence and effortless vocal range, Beckham has built a dedicated following through his signature blend of blue-eyed soul, gospel, and pop. Since then, he has released four EPs along with a steady stream of original singles and acclaimed covers, performed alongside the renowned Nashville Symphony, and earned a nomination for the Teen Choice Awards.

Continuing to build momentum, Beckham released his single "Mystery (Studio Version)" in February 2026, further highlighting his thoughtful songwriting and soulful vocal style. In 2025, he also appeared in Tommee Profitt's The Birth of a King Christmas Show at Bridgestone Arena as part of the large-scale holiday production. In addition to his work as a recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, Beckham is signed to Nashville Christian Songwriters' NCS Records and serves as a coach and mentor within the organization's respected artist training program.

"Great Are You Lord" is available to stream now wherever you listen to Christian music.
