Driven by shimmering guitars and the band’s signature maritime sound, “On The Docks” explores the tension between survival and morality through the eyes of fishermen just trying to provide for their families. The song challenges listeners to look beyond quick judgments and consider the circumstances that shape people’s choices.
Drawing inspiration from Romans 2 and other biblical themes, the lyrics point to the idea that God’s law is written on the human heart and remind listeners that every person ultimately answers to God, not to one another.
