Martin Smith Hints About Releasing New Music

Apr 12 2011

Former Delirious? front man Martin Smith has revealed plans to release new music. As the lead singer of one of the UK's most successful Christian bands ever, Martin wrote some of the most popular songs in modern worship music, including 'I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever' and 'Lord You Have My Heart'.

Writing on his blog, the singer/songwriter said "Believe me. I am focused and looking at a new destination but with God in the drivers seat it's safer, easier and the car stereo sounds louder. I will try and write every 10 days and keep you up to date with what's happening and what's next, meanwhile back in the studio for more music that I hope to release soon."

Since Delirious? ended in November 2009, Martin has been busy on a number of projects. He produced worship leader Tim Hughes' latest album, 'Love Shine Through', which was released last month, and has provided guest vocals to songs on Parachute Music's latest album 'Love Without Measure' and Ishmael's forthcoming album 'Songs & Hymns'. Martin will also be leading worship at the Worship Central London Conference in October 2011 at Central Hall, Westminster.

In February 2011 Martin released a book titled 'Delirious: My Journey with the Band, A Growing Family and an Army of History Makers', sharing the story of almost two decades of leading one of the most innovative worship bands around, including a foreword written by Matt Redman.
