Glasgow based Christian rock band Superhero will bring their 'Battle for your Soul' Tour back to the UK in November 2011 as they prepare to release their next album. Supported by former thebandwithnoname singer Chip Kendall, Superhero will perform 9 concerts across the UK starting on 11th November in Hull and finishing in Edinburgh on 27th.
"In November 2009 a band from Glasgow decided to start a tour, a tour that will take them to 197 different destinations, from Lossiemouth to London, Hasselt to Hanover, Cluj to California", says the band's press release. "But this is no ordinary tour, this was never designed to be just another Rock and Roll road trip. Now the story has begun, in fact were already into chapter 5 and its started to get very interesting!
The 'Battle for your Soul' Tour is 56 dates in to its 197 and has, so far, reached over 10,000 people, boldly preaching the gospel night after night, seeing many hundreds turning to Christ, and this winter, here in the UK, will be no different. For 9 nights in November 2011, the 'Battle for your Soul' Tour touches down on UK soil, 3 dates in England, 3 dates in Wales and 3 in Scotland. The music will be be Big, the message will be bold, you will get sweaty and you may lose your shoes! But it might just be the night that you remember for the rest of your life."
Superhero's fifth studio album is also expected to be released in November 2011 and will be preceded by a single. The new album will be the follow up to their 2009 release 'The Bicycle Thieves' which received acclaim around the world. The band will perform at the UK's CreationFest on 9th August, followed by a five date tour in Belgium during September. They will then visit the US for nine dates in California during October before returning to the UK.
