Louder Than The Music

iTunes UK in association with Christian record labels and the UK's Big Church Day Out have launched a free 6 track EP featuring artists that appeared at Big Church Day Out this year and last year. The EP is available for a limited time only from the Big Church Day Out iTunes Page.

Featured on the free EP are Chris Tomlin 'Majesty Of Heaven', Newsboys 'Miracles (Mega is a gang mix)', Matt Redman 'This Is How We Know', TobyMac 'Showstopper', David Crowder Band 'Alleluia, Sing' and last year's headline artist Hillsong United with 'Search My Heart'. The EP will only be available as a free download until 13th June 2011 from the Big Church Day Out iTunes Page.

The UK iTunes store is one of the few not to recognise the Christian music genre, whilst iTunes users in the US, Canada and Australia all have pages dedicated to Christian music. iTunes UK will be closely monitoring the take up of this free EP which could be a significant step closer to seeing Christian music reflected more accurately in the UK.

"If enough people download them it will add considerable influence to the drive for iTunes UK creating a genre page for Christian music" says Kingsway who have partnered with iTunes and Big Church Day Out to organise the Free EP.
