Drive Time Worship

Jun 28 2011

Looking at the cover of this album you might think this was a CD to accompany the new series of BBC TV series Top Gear. For those who don't know what Top Gear is, it's a mainstream TV program where three presenters review new cars with some comedy moments to make the show interesting for the whole family. Drive Time Worship is a new compilation released by Elevation featuring a mix of live and studio recordings of well-known and emerging songs that will appeal to people who spend a lot of time driving in their car.

Tracks include 'Jesus Saves', 'Glorious Life', 'Holding Nothing Back' and 'Be Thou My Vision'. A lot of people who have to tackle the dreaded 'Rush Hour' on their work or school run can sometimes find themselves stuck in the morning or evening traffic. British commuters have the longest journeys to work in all of Europe apparently, with the average trip taking 45 minutes. This album aims to be a tool to be used in those times on the way to work to worship God.

There is a good mix of songs on this album, some really fast paced worship songs, from Glorious King to Dance Dance and Because of Your Love. The majority of songs are high tempo, amazing praise songs for God. A lot of the songs on the album are from live recordings of the original songs that have been taken from some of the British festivals, adding a different dimension. This album is solid mix of fast songs to accompany you in the car, let your times on the way to work be a place to worship God. Praise albums are a great way to spend time with God when you're stuck in the rush hour traffic... again.
