Rend Collective Release Free iPhone App & Discuss New Album
Innovative worship band Rend Collective Experiment from Northern Ireland have released their very own iPhone App. The band plan to use the free App to keep fans updated as they record their new album, planned for released in early 2012.
"The App contains loads of new 'How To Play' videos, Sheet Music for the entire Organic Family Hymnal (and even for a song off the new album!), Mp3's, Blogs and Tour Dates", explains the band. "We are going to use this to upload more exclusive videos in the run up to the release of the next record, and pack it full of other tasty treats too! For our non Apple friends, we are planning a release for Android this Summer!"
Discussing their forthcoming new album, the band said, "We are in middle of recording what we hope will be an amazing album bringing together the search for honesty, vulnerability and mission in worship with a spark of imagination and fun. We have been working as a collective really hard over this last year to write songs that the church can use in worship without using cliches or tired ideas. We are a new generation and we want to pursue God with our heads, wills and our hearts! The title has still not been unveiled (will be soon!), but don't worry 'You Are My Vision' is definitely on there!!"
Rend Collective Experiment are embarking on a UK Summer Tour this August with Shane Claiborne. The 10 day trip covers England from North to South, and includes the band's first trip to Scotland.
