Ian Yates Releases Free Song Ahead Of Forthcoming Album

Mar 19 2012

British worship leader Ian Yates gives the first taste of his new music today in the form of a free song download available from Louder Than The Music. Ian's new track 'With Love' will only be available as a download and will not appear on his forthcoming new studio album, 'Good News', planned for release in June 2012.

Ian will release a second exclusive download track, 'Happy God', on 16th April, with the album's first single due to be released in May via digital stores such as iTunes and Amazon.

'Good News' is being produced and mixed by Trevor Michael (Delirious?, Trent, Phatfish) who also produced Ian's previous album 'The Hope And The Glory', released in 2010. Ian has revealed that the album features a guest appearance from former Delirious guitarist and One Sonic Society band member Stu G. "We've been hugely blessed to have Stu G play guitar on six of the album tracks! Sounds amazing - we are so happy!" says Ian.

Explaining the concept of the album, Ian continues, "The news is full of bad and negative reports. But I believe there is some good news, in-fact this good news is so good many could say its too good to be true. The Jews said it was a scandal and the Greeks said it was absurd, nonsense (1 Corinthians 1:23). But I say it is the the glad message of the glory of the Happy God (1 Tim 1:11)"

Ian kicked off his Good News Tour earlier this year accompanied by his band, with the tour continuing through until April as he leads worship at various churches and events around the UK.
