Delirious? Plan Greatest Hits, New Live DVD And History Makers Tour
Details have emerged of two possible releases from Delirious? in the next year. Lead singer Martin Smith has confirmed that Delirious? are planning a 'Greatest Hits Album', as widely anticipated by fans. He also revealed that the band are considering recording their final concert for a live album.
In an interview with Wrecked, Martin says, "There [are] plans for a proper Greatest Hits album, and maybe a live album of our London Concert at the end of the year. It still has to be worked out, but we are working some things".
The final Delirious? concert will be held at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on Sunday 29th November 2009, and despite only recently releasing the live CD/DVD 'My Soul Sings', it is understood that Delirious? are considering recording their final show to be released as a live DVD sometime in 2010.
Prior to their final show in London, Delirious? will be carrying out a farewell 'History Makers UK Tour'. Tickets for the 6-date tour are now on sale from Gigantic.com.
24 Nov - Waterfront, Belfast
25 Nov - HMV Picture House, Edinburgh
26 Nov - O2 Academy, Bristol
27 Nov - O2 Academy, Birmingham
28 Nov - O2 Academy, Leeds
29 Nov - HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London
Delirious? will be performing without a support act, playing an extended set. "They've measured their audiences by the million, their shows by the thousand and their albums by the dozen. But this is the last time to catch the underground sensation live before Delirious say their goodbyes" says the promotional information. After the tour finishes Delirious? will cease to function as a band, making this the final opportunity for fans to see the band perform live.
