Rend Collective Experiment Release Live Acoustic Album 'Campfire'

Jan 28 2013

Northern Ireland worship band Rend Collective Experiment have released their new album 'Campfire'. The intimate and acoustic worship album was recorded live around a campfire on their local beach.

The album uses inventive new arrangements of material from their previous two albums, 'Organic Family Hymnal' and 'Homemade Worship By Handmade People', to lead a small gathering of friends in worship around the campfire. Also included is a version of Matt Redman's recent worship anthem '10,000 Reasons'.

In an interview with LouderThanTheMusic.com, the band explain, "Campfires on Ballyholme beach have been such a part of the fabric of our spiritual journey. It just made sense for us that, rather than producing a polished live album in a fancy venue, we would go back to our roots in Ireland, get some friends together and sing. The process was entirely inconvenient, wholly impractical... and utterly worth it!"

'Campfire' is exclusively available on CD from Rend Collective's website, as well as digitally via iTunes and Amazon (see buy link, right).

The band will also be encouraging others to start their own community fires and will be providing a free resource for people to download from their website called "Campfire Resource Pack".
