With Age, Wisdom and Renewed Faith, Nashville Artist, Jeffrey Alan Chase Releases Debut Album & Title Single, 'I'm Coming Back'
Nashville-based singer/songwriter Jeffrey Alan Chase is proving that it is never too late to pursue your God-given purpose. At 77, Chase has officially released his debut, self-penned 12-song album, I'm Coming Back, a musical testimony of his journey back to God.
A born creative with more than 40 years of songwriting to his credit, Chase is devoting himself to music full time in this new season of his career. His life experiences have given him a depth of wisdom and maturity that can be heard throughout the project.
The new radio single and title track, “I’m Coming Back,” is a deeply personal chronicle of hope and redemption, reflecting on the years Chase spent living life on his own terms before finding his way back to his spiritual roots.Chase found that missing piece in his faith, and his return to God anchors the message of the entire project.
“I went to church regularly as a kid. Faith was just part of life growing up. But once I was out on my own, things changed. I didn’t have time for church because I had two jobs: one to pay rent, and the other to spend what was left making bad choices.
For a while I thought I was enjoying life, doing things my own way and calling the shots. But like the line in the song says, ‘All I felt was emptiness inside.’ No matter what I was doing, there was always something missing.
It took years for me to understand that even though I had walked away from Jesus, He never walked away from me. He was always there, waiting patiently for me to come back. Ready to comfort me and ready to guide me. The truth is, I was just too stubborn for a long time to give up control of my life and let Him lead.
Coming back to faith changed everything. His love erased the loneliness I had carried for so long, and His grace gave me a new purpose. Now I get the chance to use music and my work in His name to reach other people who might be walking the same road I once did. It feels good to be back."
Musically, I’m Coming Back is as rich and diverse as Chase’s own life experience. The album blends his early musical influences of country, country rock, ’60s pop and blues with distinct Louisiana swamp undertones.
