Portland Release New Album / First Album Now On iTunes

Jun 12 2009

Portland have recently released their new album, These Broken Hands. It was produced and mixed by Dan Wheeler and also Kipper, who has produced other artists such as Sting, Gary Numan, Mary J Blige and American Idol winner Clay Aitkin.

The band have also announced that their first album, Pretend To Be Stronger, is available to download on iTunes from today.

Portland started back in 2004 and after a year or two of gigging in and around the Midlands, they decided to make a short recording of their best tracks at the Raindance Music Studios. Various session musicians were drafted in for the recording of the 7 track EP, 'Pretend To Be Stronger'. This recording paved the way for them to sign a 3 album deal with independent UK label The Stereo Tree in 2008, the first of which is the recently released 'These Broken Hands'.
