Billboard Music Award Nominations Announced With Chris Tomlin Picking Up 3

The nominees for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards were announced yesterday, 9th April 2014. Worship leader Chris Tomlin topped the nominees in the three Christian categories, receiving a nomination in all three categories.

Tomlin's 'Burning Lights' album is nominated for Top Christian Album, with album track 'Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies)' named in the Top Christian Song category. He completes the full-set of nominations by also being short listed for Top Christian Artist.

Also nominated for Top Christian Artist are Mandisa, Skillet, tobyMac and Matthew West. Mandisa, Skillet and Matthew West all received two nominations each.

The nominations for the Billboard Music Awards are based on album and digital singles sales and radio airplay, with the winners being announced on 18th May.
