Casting Crowns Win American Music Award 2014

US worship group Casting Crowns were last night confirmed as winners of the 2014 American Music Award for Favourite Contemporary Inspirational Artist.

Responding to the news on Twitter, the band, who released their seventh studio record 'Thrive' in January, wrote, "We're honored & excited to win the #AMA for favorite contemporary artist. Thanks to all of you who voted."

Lead singer Mark Hall also took to Twitter to add his thoughts, "Thank you friends so much for supporting us. The AMA (award) is such an encouragement & we are blessed to do what we do. Love you guys!"

The 2014 American Music Awards was broadcasted live from the Nokia Theater L.A. on 23rd November. The AMAs pays tribute to today's most influential and iconic artists. The show is one of the biggest music shows in the world and is seen in more than 160 countries.
