Cathy Burton Plans New Album For January

Sep 23 2009

British singer/songwriter Cathy Burton has announced she is working on a new album, after having signed with Survivor Records. The title of the album has yet to be revealed but the release date is planned for 12th January 2010.

Says Survivor, "Cathy Burton's musical career has never been a stranger to fresh expressions, new beginnings and divinely inspired truth. Whether as a solo artist and festival favourite or as a co-writer with mainstream appeal, Cathy has never found herself in a rut. And now, with the announcement of Cathy signing with Survivor records and a planned release for January 2010, there begins another act, a fresh birth of new songs and revelation."

Cathy has previously released three solo albums, Burn Out (2002), Speed Your Love (2004) and Silvertown (2006), and more recently appeared on the live album from Grace Church Chichester, Redeemer, where she is an active member of the worship team. "Being at Grace Church, I've felt encouraged and supported to really have a go at writing songs for our church, because until now I've been a little too scared to try, because I know the bar is high" explains Cathy.
