Big Daddy Weave Release Christmas Album
Big Daddy Weave have released a Christmas album titled 'Christ Is Come'. The ten-song album features the band's new single 'I'll Be Brave This Christmas' plus many old Christmas favorites including 'O Come All Ye Faithful', and 'Silent Night'.
Lead singer Mike Weaver said, "We're so glad to announce our first full length Christmas release! To start with, I wasn't really looking forward to the whole process. Honestly, we were tracking the record in the summer, and I mean, who feels like singing Christmas carols when it's 100 degrees outside!? Sort of puts a dent in the ole yuletide spirit! When we got into the song choosing and song writing side of things though, something really shifted in me. In looking at the songs, I began to realize just how much I'd bought into the commercialized, well-marketed angle of the season and how unimportant a part that played in what truly IS important about Christmas. All of a sudden that wintery backdrop that I'd always associated with this holiday was made over into what looked a whole lot more like every other day of the year. The realization that the arrival of Emmanuel is the focus and needs to be part of our focus everyday changes everything about it for me, and I hope it will for others too."
