Big Church Day Out 2010 Expands To 3 Days And 2 Venues

Oct 09 2009

The Big Church Day Out event, which debuted last year, will be returning again in 2010 with an even bigger line up and now spread over three dates at two different venues. Details have just been confirmed for the event, which was founded in 2009 by Delirious' keyboard player Tim Jupp. Like last year the event will take place at Wiston House in West Sussex, but this time it will be on two days, Sunday 30th May and Bank Holiday Monday 31st May. In addition, the BCDO team have announced that the event will also take place at Stanford Hall in the Midlands on Saturday 29th May. Exactly the same programme, with all the same performers, worship leaders and fun, will run on each of the three days.

Artists confirmed to appear in 2010 so far are: Hillsong United, Toby Mac (DC Talk), Israel Houghton, Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Graham Kendrick, Lou Fellingham, Tom & Olly, LZ7 and The Kings Chamber Orchestra.

Tickets go on sale on November 2nd, and will be available from the event website: www.bigchurchdayout.co.uk.

Say the organisers, "2010 will see us taking the BigChurchDayOut to even more people. Wiston was a sell-out in 2009. In fact, we were the UK's biggest one-day Christian event, in our first year! So, we're adding a second date rather than increasing the capacity on one day. You get to choose between coming on Sunday or Monday. Whichever day you choose, you'll enjoy the same lineup. We're delighted to announce a second venue " Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, just a few minutes off J24 of the M1. Like Wiston, Stanford is a beautiful estate, offering wonderful opportunities for worship and celebration. You'll find the same lineup on the Main Stage and the same quality of catering; in short, you'll enjoy the Stanford experience just as much as the Wiston one!"

In addition, the organisers are hoping to be able to announce shortly that camping will be available on both sites. They have also moved to resolve some of last years teething problems, promising "completely new traffic systems at Wiston, tons of additional food concessions and a stack of new, fun activities for all the family."
