Bosh Release 'Explode' Compilation Featuring Remastered Tracks From Their Back Catalogue
Former British band BOSH have just released a compilation album titled 'Explode', featuring remastered tracks from their albums 'Sound the Alarms', 'The Gloaming Hour', 'Live at the Pier Theatre' and 'Fruit Tree', available to stream and download on all platforms now.
“Listening back to our releases from our recording heyday, I always felt that the mastering could be improved. We worked with excellent engineers and producers but didn’t really know much about mastering. Nearly 10 years on from that time, I thought it would be fun to dig out the unmastered mixes and have a go at polishing the songs up. So I chose the songs that I felt best represented our band and had a lot of nostalgic fun remastering them.
We were really prolific in the studio from 2007-2010, and I’m still really proud of the music we made. I think some songs aren’t quite as I’d write them now, but some are very much still what I want to communicate - and songs that are still in my live set, like ‘It’s In You’, ‘Heaven Syndrome’ and ‘There Is’.â€
Bosh disbanded in 2011, with frontman Dave Griffiths and bassist James Grant going straight into Chaos Curb Collaboration, a project that keyboardist Grant Howard has contributed to on each album from his home in Canada after emigrating in 2010. Guitarist Matt Gainsford moved to the USA and released an album with his wife Bethany under the name ‘Alps’, and is also a touring member of ‘We Are Leo’. Drummer Mike Griffiths former indie-rock project ‘Muncle’ and has become a sort after session drummer. Dave and Mike still collaborate on music together. Dave has released several solo albums and is releasing ambient piano-led instrumentals at the moment, as well as new Chaos Curb Collaboration music.
