Shaylee Simeone Releasing 'The Holidays' EP
Nashville-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Shaylee Simeone releases her new Christmas EP 'The Holidays' on 29th November 2019, featuring 3 covers and 2 original songs.
Discussing the track 'This Christmas', Shaylee said, "I love this song and I feel like it’s kind of a sleeper (probably another reason why I like it). Obviously the original Donny Hathaway version is pure magic, but if I’m being totally honest, I kind of fell in love with the Chris Brown version a while back. Like every song on this record, I wanted to go for a sort of lounge/easy listening vibe. So basically this song is meant to be listened to whilst dancing in your kitchen with lots of wine and/or eggnog involved."
With pop-inspired music that is inherently congregational, Shaylee released her single debut 'Dearly Loved' earlier this year. For years now, Shaylee has enjoyed being a part of several music projects focused on sync/licensing while consistently leading worship at her local church; it’s no wonder that writing worship music that feels universally accessible has been such a natural transition. Relatable while rooted in solid Biblical theology, Shaylee longs for her music to be "singable for a normal group of humans."
