Peter Johnston RVA Returns With 'The City of God' EP

Aug 17 2020

Catholic Indie Rock artist Peter Johnston RVA, from Richmond, Virginia, releases a new EP, called 'The City of God' on St. Augustine's feast day, August 28, 2020. This three song EP draws inspiration largely from a Byzantine requiem prayer, the physiological aspect of reconciliation, and St. Augustine's text, The City of God.

Earlier this year Peter released a 7 song record titled 'Be Not Afraid'. Describing the intention behind his music, he said: "You wouldn't hear this at mass, but it does try to prove that traditional Catholic thought and indie rock are not mutually exclusive. It began easily enough as a few home recordings but has slowly turned into a full on project that explores matters of human dignity and common good in society."
